Tips for Dealing with Night Dread?

Hey everyone! Does anyone have any tips for night dread? everytime the sun starts to roll down my panic ticks up until I'm eventually in a full blown panic attack. Some nights it won't start until bedtime and then I can't get any sleep.

You are definitely not alone in this! I struggle with it, too. I try to start a nice wind-down early enough to get my mind to switch gears, so to speak. I'll pick up a light hobby, like a cross stitch I have in progress, or some adult coloring books, to get my mind in a better mindset. Distraction is a big thing for me. Doesn't make it go away, but can help lessen it when my brain is focused on something else. Hang in there ā¤ļø

šŸ˜„ This is me. Every evening. I've suffered from chronic insomnia for years because I can't breathe. My throat tightens up, my heart beat goes thru the roof. All intertwined w every negative thought that could possibly cross thru my head. It leaves me so exhausted. šŸ˜„ I've tried medications, meditation, all of it. Nothing helps. Some nights I'm lucky and it's just not as intense.
