Newly Diagnosed with Diabetes: Seeking Tips and Information

@Jas102 hi there! Thanks for the reminder! When my spine had its issues, I used Mayo Clinics web site alot. I had forgotten about it. But you reminded me! Thanks go much. I wrote to my clinic on their health portal and asked for help and kind of blew up because I felt scared and didn't know anything. They wrote back and invited me to take a class on diabetes to learn more, so I will continue my own hunt for info and go to these classes. I shared the blood test results with my daughter who also has diabetes also . She said my numbers weren't extremely high. My main one the A1C I think was a 7. She said it isn't a really high number so I don't need to freak out. And just eat as healthy as I can. Cut out carbs and sweets as much as I can, and not to be afraid of having a little treat here and there. That brought down my anxiety some. And now I can access Mayos web site. Thank you so much!
