The longer I’ve lived with T1 I’ve noticed that it feels less worth it to try and eat fatty or non complex carb things. It’s just so hard to bolus for correctly

many people need different amounts of insulin at different times of the day due to changes in insulin sensitivity. there's lots of things that affect how much insulin you need that can vary on a day to day basis too ex. pain, injuries, stress, activity, etc. your target bg is quite high though, why is that?

hi! if youre newly diagnosed you may just have not found your correct insulin doses yet (for meals/corrections/basal) do you carb count?

i do carb count but every day feels different. I take 1:20 for correcting over 200, but sometimes that barely nudges it and other times i get too low. Im finally getting an average under 200 and barely end up over 250. My body is taking its time adjusting.

Hi! I have had type 1 for about 2 years now and completely relate. In the beginning I was really restrictive with carbs as well. It's always a struggle like with every illness, but things will get better. 💕
