Newly Diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder Type II, Need Advice

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder type II recently this year after finding out I had a blood related cousin who also has it. I’m still getting used to the idea that I am bipolar and I’m not too sure what to do. Does anyone have any advice?

Do some research into rapid cycling and see where you are on the spectrum. Not everyone will be but having a rough estimate of the patterns and time lengths can help you better identify adaptive life styles in the future. Tracking them in a journal or on a phone app can help pick that up and it can be really beneficial to give to a doctor.
