Hello. I got this app from an ad on Instagram haha. To make it short, I’m the first in my family from both sides to get diagnosed with an auto immune disorder so it’s new, i dont have people to relate too and i wanted to try this app. Had anytime used this app for some time that can give me pointers?

Hi Oscar. I also just downloaded this from app from Instagram. I’m a newbie like you! When were you diagnosed if you don’t mind me asking?

@Cosi i was diagnosed at 16 and I’m not at 21. Definitely a trip but this app lets me connect with people that have the same condition!

Hey there! I’m actually second generation diagnosed with MS. I never understood what my dad was going through until I went through it. This app is the first for me doing anything like this but willing and hoping to build some great relationships with everyone!

@Gabster ahhh same here! I never thought of going on an app designed like this but I’m also willing. It’s definitely a good way to connect with others

Hey, same thing, nobody that I’m close to has it, so nobody that I’m close to completely gets it. I got diagnosed almost 8 years ago when I was turning 25. When I was first getting diagnosed i was so scared and I didn’t want to talk to anyone who had it. I know everyone’s experience is different and I didn’t want to hear the horror stories when I was already so scared. I have been incredibly lucky and haven’t had many clear symptoms, though I am definitely heat intolerant. The way that the disease affects my life the most though is just the appointments, the tests, and the weeks that I have to spend on the phone whenever my insurance changes. I take Gilenya, so I signed up for their co-pay assistance program. Obviously America has a serious healthcare cost problem, I once had a representative at the specialty pharmacy tell me that my monthly refill for one of the meds would be 15k, but I’ll save my soapbox for another day
