Newly Diagnosed with ADHD - Seeking Advice and Medication Experiences

Hey! So I was just diagnosed with ADHD today (at 21 y.o.). I’m very new to this, so do any of you have some advice for me? Also, my doctor prescribed aderall, and I want to know what to expect when I take it for the first time. Can you tell me your experience with medication?

I personally don’t take medication so can’t help on that front. How to ADHD is a great YouTube channel for information! Things I personally do are set alarms, reminders, and timers for things on my phone. I write everything down in a notebook I always keep with me. I use a planner and daily checklist. I try to turn as much as I can into a game or at least add music to help my executive function. I wish you the best!
