I started to have high blood pressure and had to go on bp meds myself. I am on Effexor XR, Abilify as antidepressants and to help with imbalance/dizziness issues. I take clonazepam for anxiety and helps me sleep.

The work up with the cardiologist is a great idea but negativity is not what you need a support group is great for the depression my son has extreme bouts of depression has a great job brand new house great health and money in the bank you’d think he wouldn’t have any problems but he calls me and we talk for hours and he seems to get better grant it its always around 1:00 in the morning id talk to him even it was later so find something or someone that loves you as much ad I love my son and talk to them without judgement until you feel better

I can relate. My health is a huge trigger for my anxiety. I have an arrhythmia and have palpitations at night when trying to sleep. Needless to say I don't sleep well, which only makes the anxiety worse. My best advice is if you legitimately feel your heart health is at risk, see a cardiologist for a full workup. I have not done this yet due to time and finances, but it's something I want to do. I just started a new job so I don't have insurance yet or sick leave. There is also the fear that the doctor I see will just tell me "it's just your anxiety", and it will be a complete waste of time and money.

I feel as though proper deep breathing and yoga can help. Sometimes our anxiety affects our stomach which puts pressure in our chest, especially if we get pockets of gas. Definitely let a doctor check you out. I do know flax seed oil is extremely important to heart health. Make sure to buy it cold and keep it cold on the way home. You can take a spoonful or put it in smoothie.
