Same here. I also have ibs, and it sucks. I ultimately do lots of distractions and self-care. I know time is always limited, but it's essential to force that time.

I'm glad to hear that 🙌 stress is such a big thing and once you lower it, it will positively impact many health markers. I do want to say that naturopaths are not created equally. I had one that overdosed me 4x what I need, and one allowed me to work with my body and decreased my med, making me feel better. Best of luck to you! I'm here to listen/help if you'd like. 🙏

I have hypothyroidism as well and I don't take my meds before I eat. I take them first thing in the morning with a full glass of water

I'm sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. Hang in there and take things one step at a time. Agree with others on checking thyroid level (ask for full panel instead of just TSH). From other forums that I'm in, people dont have luck with endocrinologists. They prefer to work with a holistic/naturopath doctors. Also check for insulin resistance (you can order A1C test on your own -$50s I think). Something like 75% of PCOS women also have insulin issue. Do you have gut issues? It could exacerbate your symptoms. PCOS is hard to crack...hang in there my friend. 🙌

thank you! Yes I’ve tried the naturopathic route too, it has helped but…I’m hoping my move to Florida from nyc and a job change will help lower my stress, which hopefully should help things.

Get your thyroid levels checked! Low thyroid levels can fly under the radar as PCOS symptoms and you can have both which double the side effects. Getting on birth control and thyroid hormones boosted my energy and I’ve now lost over 40 pounds without changing my lifestyle. Losing weight has also given me more energy. Definitely get your thyroid checked though because it can really cause problems and for some reason some doctors don’t really take it that seriously. Once I had been on the proper medication for a few months everything started to feel better.

I have hypothyroid and already on levothyroxine. The thing is, you’re supposed to take it like pretty much by itself an hour before anything …I’m not good with that, so it’s probably not working as well as it could. Anyway ya maybe I need to just be better with taking it all on its own.

So sorry to hear that but I know how you feel. I would start by trying to eat healthier and do birth control most of the time it helps a lot.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Does birth control help symptoms?

BC helped in my 20s….then I tried it again recently and it didn’t help so much and I just got really bad yeast and BV infections , so I had to stop it .

yes I’m hypothyroid on levothyroxine, but, my levels aren’t so great, but if I dose up higher then I become hyperthyroid…I really need a good endocrinologist, but I’m off insurance now bc I’m in between jobs…rn
