Hi Everyone I am new to this app and I am also new to having epilepsy too. I am 35 years old and just about to years ago I was told and diagnosed of having epilepsy. I have read up on information about it but I am still fresh in experiencing what goes on with me when I have them. I'm haven't found a medicine that works great. I am asking if or what you guys could help or direct to me in what to really accept after years of having them and what I need to accept? Thank you

finding a medication that works is the hardest part. i second having a journal for seizures, but while trying medications and finding one that works, definitely make sure you know what side effects to look out for and keep note of those too. keep your neurologist in the loop and voice every and any concern to them. get plenty of rest and treat your body well! maybe google some triggers and things that can lower seizure threshold too... for me its lack of sleep and stress. best of luck to you <3

I also know that you might have experience pregnancy, but I don't know much about it.. I recommend taking kepra cause I took it for all those years.
