New to Endometriosis: Heavy Periods, Migraines, and Nausea

Hello, I am new to this. I just discovered that I have endometriosis with heavy periods that last longer, plus migraine will increase from a day to 2-3 days before or during the period. I’ve heard many suffering from pain, but mine is rare, constantly with nausea and vomiting plus anemia. I am careful about what I eat and watch how much I eat. It helps. It doesn’t help if I want to remove the pain of vomiting and nausea. My fibroids is 3-4 and I used to have bc. I plan to get IUD. I’m nervous.

Hello! First of all welcome! Second of all I can empathize with a lot of this. I’ve been somewhat recently diagnosed with endometriosis as well. I keep ending up in the ER due to heavy blood loss and anemia on my periods as well as intense pain that causes me to vomit and pass out. It definitely is not an easy thing to deal with. I personally have never had an IUD. However, I have heard from a lot of people that they do work pretty well. A lot of people have even called them “life changing”. I hope you can find some relief. 💕 💕

Hi! Thank you so much for the message. I am glad I am not alone in this. I have been to the ER twice before Christmas, and it was frustrating not to understand why this was happening to me. I also have anemia. I never had an IUD, either, and I hope it will help me through it all. I have changed my diet as well and making sure I stay active and take vitamins. It was helpful. I plan to keep up to date on here with my journey and on my social media platforms. There are several deaf who are not familiar with this, and I had to share.
