Im doing okay, ive had it for about sixteen years now since I was diagnosed at age seven. I have Hashimotos and recently been diagnosed as type 1 diabetic. To address one of your questions earlier. I think the major difference between Hashimotos is that it's when your immune system attacks your thyroid gland but thyroidism is just your thyroid not producing enough or effectively. As for how they tell what one I'm not quite sure. For me it was bloodwork and questions that seemed to narrow it down for them.
