Neurosurgeon finally offering hope for my pain relief

It's finally here. I have been waiting years for a neurosurgeon, years for someone 2 help me not pass me by. Been told "you have way 2 many issues on way 2 many levels". At the end of this month, if I can get the ct of my cervical renewed and my insurance 2 approve, I'll b having my 1st surgery. C6/7 anterior cervical discectomy fusion and placement biomechanical interbody devices and anterior instrumentation with cervical plate. Says it'll be a 2hr surgery. Dr states the spinal fluid is not going 2a section of my spine and this will relieve that, then he can fix some of my pinched nerves from the lumbar area. I been begging for my legs back. the pain is outrageous from sciatica. Y'all have no idea how happy I was 2 find a Dr that cared. Even gave me Meloxicam and a steroid pack. Steroid is my ONLY pain relief. So my stenosis family plz tell me if this surgery has helped and what I'm in for. never in my life have had surgery except a tonsillectomy.
