My neurologist recently said to me, “Let’s be real, you have issues” and it was weirdly the best thing I could have heard from a doctor after years of being dismissed Did anyone else have an experience like this?

Yes! My neurosurgeon told me recently “ you have a spine of a 60 year old at 20.” It felt good to hear that. For years I was pushed off and not listened too now he see the issue and acknowledge that there is something wrong!

yeah definitely, when I got consulted for fibro, the nurse was like "hm. you've managed to collect almost every symptom of CSS. the first one was when you were like 10 why haven't you been diagnosed ? I'm doing it right now"

Yes. My new Neurologist on her own discovered after reviewing an MRI image over a year old that I have had several mini strokes and an enlarged pituitary gland that are likely the cause of my concerns.

My orthopedic dr is the best! Whenever I tell him “my body doesn’t do well with this” or “that has not helped me” ect. He listens and suggests something new that might actually be helpful.

Unfortunately I only get it from my therapist. She specializes in chronic pain and learned a lot from her doctorate about basic health stuff and can’t believe the awful PCP’s I’ve had that dismiss all of my pain

That would be oddly comforting to hear. The one that comes to my mind is when I was talking with my PCP and I said “I try not to be problematic but the list keeps growing” and she said “you have real problems, yes but you aren’t problematic. You’re paying attention to your body and I think that’s the best thing you could be doing, so keep it up!”
