I was prescribed birth control for cramps (endo may be a factor, contraception is not an issue). I’m nervous to start taking it in case I have mood side effects. What has your experience been with this? My doctor also said it might help because it helps even out the hormones and my mood might actually improve.

You have to be SUPER careful with which one you get on. Your doc is right, some birth controls can improve mood, but not all. But you’re also right to worry about it impacting your mood. I’ve been on several that made me a raging b. The only one that didn’t impact my mood was Slynd.

I was on Amethyst and it worked wonders for me. Let's you skip periods as it's a continuous dose every day instead of sugar pills for a week. The continuous hormones helped keep my moods in check instead of fluctuating. Good luck!
