Nervous About Autism Testing

Hi i'm new and pretty young but im nervous im going to be tested for autism and im scared what if im making it up? i relate A LOT to it and my therapist just said to agree internally but having it confirmed by a professional makes me more at ease does that make sense? i don't know:/

      It makes sense. The test is not as bad as I thought it would be. It was slightly fun but easier than my ADHD tests

      Im trying to get back to therapy to have my ADHD re-evaluated for autism bc quite honestly there are some symptoms n things about myself that have made me believe ADHD is not quite accurate enough. I think having a diagnosis confirmed by a Dr usually makes it feel more legit. If you're feeling some type of way i doubt it's made up

        @psychbubbles I feel like I definitely have adhd but I also feel like I have asd. So many symptoms I had I thought were also adhd but a lot weren't and I was like oh shoot so then I looked isn't asd because all I knew was the stereotype a related to a lot of it. But as one with anxiety does I convinced myself that I'm making it all up but I'm trying to stop doing that I actually trust myself and recognize when I feel things.

      Just a reminder, it's okay if you don't have it. If they say you don't have it that doesn't take away from any of your struggles with similar symptoms

      Yep! I got diagnosed last week for the same reason. I would recommend going ahead, checking ASD, and posting your autism questions under there!
