Nervous About My Upcoming Autism Evaluation

i’m nervous that i’m putting too much effort into my upcoming autism evaluation. what if (whoever’s conducting the evaluation) is dismissive or able to connect all the symptoms i’ve written down to previous diagnoses?

Just try to nail every box that you can prior to going in and then lay it out for them. That's all you can do. Stick to your guns and know we are all here. The unknown can be so scary. I felt the same way

have you gone through an evaluation? if so, is it intimidating/scary in your opinion?

I would definitely take note of more sensory symptoms in addition to anything else you already have because sensory symptoms aren't going to be explainable by anxiety

that’s what i’ve been focusing on, but can sensory symptoms be related to adhd? i do have quite a few but i feel like every symptom of autism can be linked to something else. maybe this is the anxiety talking, but i’m also worried i’m somehow making up these symptoms or that the person evaluating is going to think i’m purposely trying to fit them.
