Dealing with Nerve Pain After Cervical Surgery

Hello, I’m Candy and I have a ton of issues I’m dealing with right now. I just had surgery to fuse the cervical area. I had a Discectomy and fusion of my C5-7. I was told going in it was a breeze. Just an overnight stay and healing was a breeze. 😂🥵I have had so much nerve pain that my meds aren’t touching it . I’m at 2 weeks out. What say you? Any one in same condition?

Hey Candy,Just checking in on you. I'm hoping your feeling a little bit better. I will not have surgery unless something is falling off my body. Seen so many people suffer and I don't care for the long term results..I'm praying for your recovery.

I’m having a fusion of my L5-S1, can I message you? I’d love to talk to someone who had it done before I do

I have degeneration from c-4 to my c-6 I am not "bad enough" for surgery and even though I'm in tons of pain all the time I know I don't want to have surgery if it can be avoided for this reason. I would expect you to have a TON of nerve pain and my experience with nerve pain is nothing really touches it. I think making sure you complete physical therapy is going to be very important. I'd expect the nerve pain to last for a while and you may have some long term nerve pain with where you were sliced I'm really sorry I can't be more helpful.
