Nerve Conductivity Test: What to Expect?

I'm getting a nerve conductively test done Friday. I've had terrible numbness and pins and needles in my hands for a year or so now. Anyone else have one and can you share your experience with it?

I haven’t had the EMG, or whatever you call it. I actually cancelled mine.
