Need Encouragement After Echocardiogram

I just need to vent and need encouragement. So today I had to do another echocardiogram and it didn’t go like the first one… a couple months ago I had a visit at the cardiologist and the tech who did the echocardiogram just looked and took the pictures and the doctor said everything was fine.. BUT TODAY.. was a little different. This time it was my primary care doctors office that did it.. they have vascular physicians there… so during the echocardiogram the guy was doing the ultrasound and then he had me hold my breath.. take deep breaths.. sneeze and just do different breathing techniques .. it puzzled me because the first person didn’t have me doing all of that.. and then after the tech was done he says “I’m quite sure the doctor will want to do a follow up appointment I’ll do the report today” I know it could be nothing but it just felt different this time.. my husband was also puzzled.. I just started to question if he saw something he shouldn’t have or something…

If it was something serious the doctor would have come in before you left. I always look at abnormal test results as good news because the test was done for a reason. Once that reason has a name you have power to learn about it and treat or manage it.

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about that. The people who do procedures like that can often have preferences as to see everything they can. I remember doing this during one I had to locate something on the outer side of my gut, but I don’t know how similar that is to what you had done.
