Having a happy disposition helps prevent flare ups, from my experience! If you have extra fat to lose, that’s a good place to start. The rate of flare ups increases with extra weight. The people around you also affect your pain levels, so use your pain as a benefit to figure out who makes you feel better and who makes you feel worse and limit your time with the people that make you feel worse.
