Navigating Dissociative Identity Disorder: Where to Start?

I'm so new to the idea of having DID. I don't even know what to think. I'm not ashamed. I just didn't know she was there. I'm seeing a therapist on Thursday. I don't even know where to start! Any advice for therapy or just in general?

Both therapist and patient here!! Write down everything! All the questions you have, all the things you wanna talk about, what you don't wana talk about (and why). Basically what do you expect from therapy and what do you expect to get from therapy. Don't be shy!! You'll know first session who isn't for you in my opinion. Some people just don't mesh, and that's okay! But also they could be super awesome and help you achieve and realize so much!! Just keep an open mind and feel free to ask questions along the way.
