With so many medications and the side effects, are there any natural ways to fight this disease?

also not everyone should limit potassium outright just because it is the norm in some kidney patients. please always be referring to your labs to see what you’re deficient in. i was always low on magnesium and potassium. i had to take supplements for both!

sadly unless your kidney function was effected by an acute injury you cannot do anything to reverse the damage done to your kidneys. the best thing to do is watch your diet to help preserve whatever function you have.

Yea high albumin will cause your urine to foam up that’s basically a marker that your stressing out your kidneys. On your blood test it will read Alb/Creat Ratio you want it under 300 ideally. Foam just mean that protein is leaking into your urine but protein leaks into urine when your kidneys can’t take the weight of your diet. So excess protein (2.5oz per meal and up) will directly increase ur albumin And high albumin with high pottasium, phosphorus, sodium, are other big stress factors on the kidney. P.S the oz of protein per meal vary on what stage CKD you are

Depending on how aggressive you CKD is attention/obsession is on you but have a set number of how many mg of Potassium/Sodium/phosphorus your going to intake through out the day look at the nutrition facts and the ingredients anything that has the word “PHOS” of POTASIUM” be cautious. If your stage 3B📈 and up I would suggest weighing you protein to decrease your albumin. A tell sign it’s a high is if you urine is foamy.

@TimboRay is the urine foamy because of high protein or high potassium

The most I've been told is your diet. The right diet can make your kidneys last longer
