Need Natural Laxative Recommendations for Chronic Constipation

Hi guys! I’m in a situation where I have to pretty much rely on laxatives to use the bathroom. If I don’t use them I’m shitting literal bricks which makes my hemorrhoids and fissures much worse which causes me soooo much pain to the point I can’t even work, it’s that debilitating. I’ve given up and my doctor won’t help me figure out why it’s like this so I want natural laxatives recommendations please leave them below

Can you help? connect today

I understand completely where you are coming from, it is so painful and debilitating. And frustrating. I’ve used stool softeners like dulcolax, I also drink Metamucil everyday, it’s gross but it helps ironically with both diarrhea and constipation, I still get bouts but it has has made a huge difference and cut it back drastically. If you see a doctor maybe asks about bentyl?! It’s a antispasmodic and has helped me also. Best of luck!

Look up Coffee enemas! You can do these at home. I’ve found a program that’s giving me support and answers. You get a coach you can text anytime—the Pompa program. I felt so dismissed with my regular doctor too. Diet change is huge unfortunately 🙁. I would do a green smoothie fast for at least 4 days to reset, give those hemorrhoids a chance to heal a little bit. Do you have a good blender? Fresh spinach, apples, coconut yogurt, coconut milk, parsley, mango or peach, a little mct oil or coconut oil. Other things you could eat while you are giving your bowels a break—coconut chia seed pudding, blueberries, bone broth. Then you may want to consider a 90 day elimination diet to find what really triggers you to get stopped up, helping your gut will help all other conditions 🙏🏻

I use trulance as a laxative but find it to be more gentle then an actual laxative. Unfortunately I was in the same situation and only had luck through medication.

I have not seen a Gi doc other than when I had a colonoscopy…. He said it’s all fine… I am in agony at times. This is kinda new for me . My PCP is dismissive about this which is tough! So glad there is a place to talk to others. I think an elimination diet is a good idea.

I’m glad you can begin working on this on your own based off the information you received, but your doctors dismissing you is wrong. It may be difficult but I highly suggest searching for a doctor to take you seriously. Not going to the bathroom is difficult in itself but your toxins will cause even more complications if you don’t get the right help.

Good idea… Going to seek out a GI doc. Good docs are hard to find and get into!!

Yes which is really sad, but you deserve the right treatment. Wishing you the best!
