Natural Allergy Relief: Any Suggestions?

Is there any natural allergy relief that has worked for anyone? I suffer from severe allergies and I used to take oral antihistamines for it; they managed the allergy symptoms but made me sick in 10 other ways. It got to the point where dealing with the allergies sounded better than dealing with the side effects, so I stopped taking them. All I can do now to help is use my emergency inhaler when I start experiencing an asthma attack from the allergies and this only brings temporary relief.
