I was hoping someone could shed alight on Wakix for me. I’ve tried every stimulant possible from high dose modafinil to 60mg of adderall currently. My doctor wanted to switch me to Xyrem which I was so happy to try because it’s not a stimulant AND helps with my cataplexy which I’ve been unable to control. Long story short my insurance told me I have to try wakix first before they’ll cover the Xyrem. Is anyone currently on wakix? What should I expect going from an extremely strong and high dose of a stimulant to something that works in a completely different way? I’m excited to not feel so jittery and stimulated, but I really don’t know how it’ll help if adderall doesn’t. This is mainly a stepping stone but I want to keep my hopes up. Any thoughts?
