Multiple Failed Joint Surgeries: Any Advice?

Has anyone else had multiple failed surgeries to stabilize their joints? I’ve had 2 failed hip reconstructions and 1 failed shoulder reconstruction all to stabilize the joints but none of them have worked

Hmmmm. I'm not sure how to deal with that one. I definitely recommend an electric wheelchair because of your hip. But with the shoulder you may have to start going about things like an amputee. Especially if it's daily. Maybe talk to your docs about any aids that can hold it in place or at least lower hospitalizations.

I’m currently still able to walk but have pretty severe dislocation of my hip and shoulder daily most resulting in hospitalization

I didn't read your whole message. My bad. I'm assuming you have severe eds? I had one labrum tear that tore again like a year later. Thankfully it's holding out so far. Maybe for you it might be time for an electric wheelchair?

I have had both shoulders done. So far it's going well. I also stopped pt before I got to the normal person amount of bendy lol. That way if it is only temporary (as many things are for us) they will hold for longer

Hey, I had a shoulder reconstruction. I was told that it takes time to know whether the operation was successful or not. Still, I was told that the surgery has a low success rate... When was your last surgery? How do you know it failed?
