Need advice on MRI side effects and symptoms

I recently got a MRI and diagnosed… Im terrified and just would like to know if there are any side effects I should know about from having this… my symptoms are Nipple discharge, high prolactin levels, and irregular period… also not sure if it affects growth because I recently got a breast ultrasound and was told I have the breast of a 15 year old :’)

hi, no need to be scared! You’re already aware of the symptoms you’re having so it’s very unlikely you’ll develop more, treatment options usually just start with medicine to reduce the size of the tumor (tumor does not necessarily mean cancer) 💗 there’s a really great girl on tiktok that takes you through her whole journey with her pituitary tumor and is really informative (@jazzothezombie) as far as the breast growth, I personally think it is connected - I feel like mine never developed well unfortunately

Those are the side effects of pituitary tumor. Mostly benign. I’m assuming you’re already seeing endocrinologist & neurologist? Neurologist will recommend a treatment for the tumor to keep it under control.

Pituitary gland is in charge of growth and development. It could be a factor in your breast being a 15yr old breast.

Don’t be terrified. Thank goodness prolactinomas are benign. You’ll more than likely start taking Cabergoline. Everything will be just fine with treatment!

Same I have high prolactin levels and irregular periods. I have also experienced weight gain in the past which I think could be a symptom. I think that way cause at the time of weight gain I had not changed anything about my daily routine or my diet and when I got on medication to reduce the tumor I started losing weight.

I have migraine with aura and vertigo. Neurologist doesn’t think it’s related to benign pituitary adenoma.
