I know this is a stupid question, but how do you motivate yourself to eat? I have lunch in a bit and I really don't feel like eating today, but I know my body needs it. Can anyone help me?

not eating alone helps. if you can manage it, being around trusted family members or friends who know not to comment on what you may be eating is super helpful. if others are eating and enjoying themselves it could help begin to associate food with a more positive environment and as a healthy experience. isolation is tempting considering how lonely ed's are, but breaking out of that bubble and seeking company has been very useful for me.

Sometimes taking a sip of apple juice helps get my body to start feeling hungry. After that I eat anyway, no matter how I am feeling, I eat anyway.

Have you tried a smoothie? I barely eat solid food after surviving starvation and refeeding syndrome, but smoothies have kept me going for over a year now. It's not the best answer, but this way you can take care of your organs without chewing. For me, at least, if I don't have to chew it, I can pretend it's not food! Again, maybe not the healthiest approach, but it's better than starving. Trust me, it is the most painful and messy experience ever!
