Mornings with Anxiety: Parenting Edition

Are morning really tough for anyone else (with anxiety)? U have to wake up at 6 am and jump right into gear getting our two children ready for school. But I almost alway wake with anxiety happening, I feel like most days I don’t start coming down from it until like 9-10 am.

mornings are the worst for me! i have to do some breathing exercises when i first wake up because it’s like i can’t relax otherwise. it doesn’t work like magic but if you do it enough it can be bearable. also make sure you get enough sleep, bodies get mad when they can’t recover fully by sleeping

I’m the worst at getting enough sleep. Being a parent of two little ones I treasure my quite and “me” time in the evening. Which means I usually stay up later than I should. I also rarely ever have anxiety at night so I also like to get as much of that time in as I can too.
