My mom recently found out that I’m on antidepressants. I’m 22 years old so it’s really none of her business but she found out by going through my trash and finding the prescriptions. She told me that the medication I’m taking is just a “bandaid.” She’s a nurse who’s anti-medication. I’m just really struggling to be happy recently and this hasn’t helped. Any tips for getting people to understand my perspective as the person who has been helped by these medications?
