Missing the Old Me: Struggling with Mental Health

I feel you... I was on top of the world and happy as ever before I was raped. Now four years later I am barely holding on to life.. I miss being the happy me and feel like I'll never know her again.

I totally hear you, this is how I feel. I feel like my anxiety and panic attacks have just taken over and changed who I am. I'm afraid to do or go anywhere because I might have an attack. It is the worst! I'm praying for you, hugs! 🤗❤️

I definitely feel the same way

Oof, have really been feeling this sentiment lately. Grieving the loss of who we were, before illness/ailments, is normal. Try to be kind and gentle with yourself. ❤️

Yep, I've felt that way too. I've found pieces of the old me and tried to nurture them, but I've also come to accept that there are these new parts to me I have to embrace and have to work with those old pieces. I've tried to bring back some of my confidence, but embraced my newer ability to step back and listen. I'm a work in progress and that's okay. I hope you can find some of those pieces because I'm sure they're there. Be patient with yourself and give yourself some grace because you deserve it. Working on our self-worth isn't easy and it is necessary. I wish you much success on your journey to the new you.
