Has anyone ever had blood work or other test done and been told that everything was normal, but you found out later that it wasn’t? Like your results fall within the “good” ranges but there was actually an issue.

@Drusilla yup! This was me 2 years ago with pots. At that point all I could do was get a new doctor

Like even *if* you’re wrong (which, you know yourself better than they do!), you’re still an autonomous patient who has the right to request tests/procedures, even if they think they’re frivolous.

@_Aja_ I’ve been digging deeper into it and I have almost every single symptom for hyperthyroidism. There’s only one or two I don’t have.
Yup! Even had an MRI like this too. Bloodwork is like taking a picture of your levels at the exact moment of the draw. At that precise moment they could be fine! At the end of the day, it nice if the tests validate what you’re saying, but it’s only a problem to me if the doctors see the results and give up. Even if everything is “normal”, you’re clearly still saying something is wrong so they need to figure that out. It’s all really frustrating isn’t it! 😩
@_Aja_ yes it drives me crazy. I’ve been saying for years that I think something wrong with my thyroid and my TSH is always normal and they don’t do any further investigation.
