Misdiagnosed on HRT Prescription

Same here, it’s standard at my doctor’s office for insurance purposes — even though my insurance *does* cover HRT for gender dysphoria. I think it could be argued you DO have an endocrine disorder. Oops, your body was running on the wrong sex hormone this whole time! Let’s fix that.

Mine doesn’t, however that is usually done to avoid insurance issues. Many insurance companies will not willing to pay for transition services, especially if it’s work insurance.

I've not started T yet but it's possible that it's a way to help prevent everyone knowing you're trans, which is a good thing.
