Hi, so I’ve had migraines since I was about 11 years old, and I’m 17 now. And I’ve heard that “Tragus” piercings help with migraines. I was thinking about getting one but wanted some input first.

i got a daith piercing for this exact reason and it didn’t help me. my friend in highschool said it helped, but only a little bit. she still had migraines. i read about it and it only helps if they happen to pierce the correct nerve. its really a gamble

I’ve never heard of that myself, but I would love to know more myself. I’m assuming it has something to do with a bodily pressure point of sorts

My twin sister and I both have chronic aura migraines. My sister had them worse for days in a row one summer so she ended up getting the piercing. So far I think she has only had one or two aura migraines since then. So I would say they help! And to get the piercing on the side where your migraines “mostly” originate from.

I've heard of that with a daith piercing, not so much a tragus. You can always ask your piercer, they usually know about that stuff. But I've also been told that you'd have to have an acupuncturist locate the exact placement for it to really have a positive affect.

While I’ve heard that daith piercings help with migraines, I’ve never heard about tragus piercings helping. However, I recently got a tragus piercing, and I have noticed a decrease in my migraines, so there may be a connection (it could also be a coincidence, but I don’t know).
