Experiencing Migraine Symptoms for the First Time

I think I have a migraine. I’ve never had one before but I’ve had headaches of course before but this one feels different. It’s almost as if my eyes are swollen (they’re not but they feel swollen) and it’s a lot of pressure .. it hurts worse when I stand or sit up.. 😣

First of all, I hope that you are doing alright and are able to get some rest! Personally, the things that have worked best for meto are ice packs, an NSAID or other over the counter pain reliever/fever reducer, and a small amount of caffeine. If you have them, gel ice packs are usually more comfortable to put on your head/eyes. You may also find that a warm bath or something similar might help more! And if you are feeling sensitive to light, you can try to darken your environment, or if you can't, wearing sunglasses indoors can take the edge off of the photosensitivity. Obviously, this is just my experience/opinion, and definitely check with a provider if you have access to one! I hope that this helps and also that you are able to find something that works for you!
