Dealing with Migraines: What's Your Self Care Routine?

Hi everyone! I'm sure I'm not the only one who struggles with the schedule upset that handling frequent migraines can cause. You know the drill. It hits, you grab the green tea and the medication, and retreat to your room for hours to sleep the pain away... which is great (if it works, sometimes it doesn't), but then you are wide awake at 3am and the next week is just you trying to get back to normal. It's a frustrating cycle! What's everyone's migraine self care routine? What about after it goes away? Do you pamper yourself or just try to forget about it? I've recently gotten into using my chilled Jade roller on my face after a migraine.

I am torn. Sometimes I effectively blast through. It is best if I can almost gaslight myself into believing the pain doesn't exist. Sometimes, though, it is bad enough that it actually pulls my anxiety into the game. It is usually the anxiety that eventually wears me out so much that I see the migraine or cluster headache and eventually have to stop everything for a few days to get it under control. I truly think I have a ton of anxiety for always walking on eggshells for fear of triggering migraine.

My daughter has been taking organic vitamins that help relieve her inflammation in her body that causes migraines. It’s been a game changer for her. She treats herself to ice cream and then go and hang out with her friends. How do you like the jade roller? What do you do?
