What are your tips with coping with or preventing a migraine? I get over 15 days of a migraine a month with severe pain, being sick, fatigue and sensitivity to light and movement. Tried lots of medications, seeing a neurologist but it’s hard to find what works for me with other conditions/medication. Any advice would be so helpful.

For me, understanding my triggers was critical. I got better at reading and listening to my body when it would tell me things. I know that certain types of alcohol don't agree with me (e.g. red wine, tequila) and others aren't as much of an issue (e.g. white wine, vodka). And interrupted sleep is a huge no-no. It practically guarantees a migraine. I looked across my life and all my experiences with migraines and tried to draw connections. Only then could I really take steps to manage them.

Ajovy has been a game changer for me. Went from a migraine nearly every day to 4 or 5/month.

@Jess314 I had the exact same experience. I was getting three or four migraines a week and then taking a day or two to recover from them, and near-constant "normal" headaches, and since starting the ajovy injection I usually only get one or two migraines a week.

Some tips for coping with migraines include using over-the-counter painkillers and caffeine, staying in a dark environment, wearing tinted glasses or sunglasses if experiencing photosensitivity, and using gel ice pack "migraine caps" for relief. Additionally, having Ensure or other nutrition drinks available, or even just an electrolyte mix, can help with nausea. It's important to continue working with your neurologist to find the best treatment plan for your specific situation.
