Has anyone tried metformin for fibromyalgia?

Just curious has anyone tried metformin for your fibromyalgia? I’ve seen where it can help not only with poly cystic ovarian syndrome and with fibromyalgia.

I've taken metformin for my diabetes but it didn't help with my fibro. I take lyrica right now.

No, I haven’t. Best medicine for me personally, is Amitriptyline combined with a low dose of Tizanidine.

They have given me Celebrex and that didn’t help I’m on 600mg of Gabapentin 3 times a day and 20mg of cycleobenzprine. 3 times a day as well. I’m happy that something is working for you I’ve tried so many combinations until something works 🥺

I can’t take Cymbalt or Lyrica they didn’t help. I’m currently taking Savella and it seems to be working. I took metformin years ago for my PCOS and have debated going back on it

I take Metformin for type 2 diabetes. I would say it has helped with PCOS because I was able to get pregnant. In my opinion it has not helped with fibromyalgia at all. I take Cymbalta and it does help with some of the pain from fibromyalgia. It is the only thing that has worked for me.
