Hello, I just joined. The biggest health issues affecting my life right now are depression and anxiety. I am often paralyzed by overwhelm and find myself doing nothing when there is so much to be done. I feel irresponsible but I don't mean to be it just seems impossible to accomplish basic tasks lately. I have therapy weekly and am meeting a psychiatrist next week. How do you cope with mental paralysis?

I'm actually going through something similar right now. You're not being irresponsible and your feeling/anxiety/depression is totally valid. You're at the very least trying which is the first step. You're going to therapy which is a good start. Boxes. I know I struggle with it myself but here's how it works. I'll use an hexample; Let's say you're moving and you have a million things to do. You'd pack a little at a time instead of packing it all.in.a day right? So use the same for your life. If you're on a deadline for a project but your friends want to go out and party while you have a ton of tests coming up that are very important, you need sleep and food, right? Which is the most pressing? You'd get some sleep and food so you're refreshed and energized. Then study for the test, relax and go to the party so you give your brain a break and better able to successfully work on the project. Make sense?
