I had a good experience when I went. Definitely take crayons and color books, books to read, confirm clothes (no strings) a hoodie in case you get cold,(take the string out tho) and house shoes. Expect to be bored a lot.

I absolutely hated it but you might like it better. Just be on the lookout for people's bullshit, including the staff

Bring a box of crayons, a journal, a good book, and comfy clothes with no strings, cords, etc. Bring slippers because you won't have access to shoes and walking on hard floors nonstop can actually hurt your feel permanently, as well as just hurt after too long.

Just take a moment to breathe and gather your thoughts. It may seem like a lot right now but taking a step back is important. When you’re in there (if it helps) you could journal or learn new coping skills!
