It helps me feel more in control by keeping track of certain things that've happened along the way, like when I realized I had x condition, the earliest thing I can remember it affecting, and tests or realizations I have during therapy, that type of thing! But honestly if some things feels right and isn't harming you just go with it

A few years ago I saw a quote about putting your happiness first. I really wanted to change my lifestyle and way of thinking so I did what made me happy. I stopped hating people because someone else told me to. I came out as lesbian even though my family is extremely against it. I have opened up my emotions to my close friends which is something I've never been able to do to anyone. I am now surrounded by people who accept and support me and I am in the best mental place I've been in a long time. Do things for you! Make yourself happy!

Start a skincare routine! It can be as simple as three steps (cleanse, moisturize, SPF) but it can make you feel better and help to take care of your skin.

instead of engaging in negative thoughts that pop up, separate yourself from those emotions. ex. instead of thinking "everyone hates me", think "my mind is making me feel like everyone hates me".

Do everything you ever wanted to do with yourself (get a crazy haircut, get a tattoo or peircing, dye your hair, wear the clothes you felt like you could never wear but want to). Express yourself artistically. Take breaks from things and let yourself have lazy days. Find peace with yourself and start to love yourself.
