Hi all - sorta have no idea what I’m doing here but I’m trying to get myself better. I’ve been experiencing most of my stuff (especially anxiety & depression) for well over 10+ years and I’m finally on some meds to help… Where are you at in your journey? What’s working/not working for you?

This has been lifelong for me, especially the anxiety and ocd. I just got on Fluoxetine a few months back and it’s been a miracle! Also going to counseling for the past two months to overcome social anxiety. Life has been so much better. I can’t rave about fluoxetine enough!! I’ve been so against trying meds and trying to cope on my own for so long but this literally took so much unnecessary edge off and put sunshine back in my life. Got any questions? What’s helped you?

@Looshy I’m seeing a therapist too - however I’m not sure if it’s helping much…I can only meet with her every other week due to $$$. I’ve been trying to hand everything myself up till recently too - I was anxious about being on meds because I’m the one person who gets EVERY bad side effect, even with over the counter stuff. Minus an adjustment period, I honestly feel better than ever. More energy, less anxiety…I’m just sorta expecting everything to regress again right now but I’m trying to keep positive Meds have definitely helped though
