Seeking Advice on Getting a Mental Health Diagnosis

I have really bad anxiety and depression. I have not been diagnosed yet with anything else. I will be going to a behavioral therapy center in December. I was wondering how long it takes to get some kind of diagnosis other than what I have.

There is no set or usual timeframe for diagnosis. The best thing you can do is document EVERYTHING. If it seems off, write it down. You cannot over document. It's ok to feel bad and anxious. That's the hardest part of having both of those. A therapist will recommend meditation (which I'm sure you're already working on).

My husband and I have been doing a little research. And it seems to come up with mostly symptoms of PTSD. But I didn’t know if there are several types or not.

I honestly don't know. Depression and anxiety are probably the easiest to diagnose, so it might take longer. Have you done any research so that you might already have an idea of what's wrong? You know yourself better than anyone while the doctor can only base their diagnosis on what you tell them so just be open and honest.
