Does anyone feel a connection between mental health like general anxiety disorder or bipolar with thyroid problems? If so what were your symptoms and how did they start/surface? Thank you so much 💓

      @Shelbym i had panic attacks and then got blood test indicating hashimoto - was already on antidepressants- the panic attacks were so strange and terrifying

      Yes my doctor doesn't know if I'm really bipolar since I've been diagnosed with hoshimotos because it could be coming from my thyroid the two can mimic each other. Also depression and anxiety 🙃

      Mine started with depression and anxiety. I didn't have any manic symptoms until I was put on meds

      Thyroid problems are linked to depression and anxiety. I actually started having panic attacks after I was diagnosed with Hashimotos. I had to start taking medication to combat that.

      That's interesting. I have not thought much about thyroid and mental health. I have rapid cycling bipolar, Hashimoto's, depression, anxiety... I would recommend having good support from a psychiatrist and therapist.

        @Glowing_Triathlete my doctor has to screen me all the time because it is linked to increase risk of depression.
