Meloxicam not strong enough for pain relief?

i’ve just started on meloxicam and don’t feel like it’s “strong” enough if that makes sense, like i still find myself wanting to use topical voltaren midway through the day. what have been your experiences with it?

Can you help? Connect today

Hi Teeny. I'm taking Meloxicam 15mg once a day. But I am also taking Gabapentin 600mg. I can tell they are helping my chronic pain somehow. Hope this can be helpful to you.

Hey! I take meloxicam 7.5mg, 2x/day. I decided to take it twice a day to get a longer time of relief from it. I honestly haven’t taken the 15mg tabs so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I also remember it took a little while to really start working for me… like maybe a week or two? It definitely ended up working better for me than Aleve or any other NSAID.

I take it in the morning and by itself it's doesn't really work and taking cinnamon and turmeric in the morning and at night will help as well from experience

You can ask to go up in your dose. That's what I would do. I'm on the low dose but when it doesn't start to work I would go up
