Omg for real. The only things I've found that actually help are edibles and clonidine 🫠

It's hit or miss for me, but when it does work it's really hard to wake up in the morning, so that kind of backfires.

Fasty brain gogos doesn't totally block out melatonin for me but I do find it much less effective than a lot of other options. I was previously prescribed gabapentin and I found it worked really well for me and helped me get a sleep schedule going

My doctor recommended Benadryl for me for that reason, that usually works for me

Melatonin gave me such severe nightmares that I was too afraid to go back to sleep. I had a friend tell me it had the same effect on him.

High doses I found out can cause the opposite effect! I started splitting my 10mgs in half and i’m gonna go that until the bottle runs out and switch to 3mgs. Ngl melatonin is not the safest thing on the market cause it is often under regulated and is a psychoactive hormone being sold as a “supplement” my real benefits tend to come from CBD oil

Melatonin worked on me when I was younger but eventually it didn't have any effect at all. No sleeping medications have ever worked on me, until I was prescribed Clonidine for sleep

The amount of melatonin you need to feel sleepy is way less than they pills give you, it’s like half a gram max or something and having too much melatonin can cause the opposite of the desired effect and keep you up. If you can’t find very small melatonin pills I suggest taking tryptophan at night instead, it is a building block for melatonin and serotonin and your body can make what you need out of it

For me, I feel like melatonin works sometimes. So I wonder if it only "works" on the nights I'm actually tired lol. Idk I don't take it consistently either, just when I feel like I CAN'T sleep
