Can I choose to just take meds and no therapy? or do I have to have both to feel stable?

I take meds and have no therapy i dont see the use of a therapy when i can always call a friend to talk about what I’m dealing with

Yes but therapy can be very helpful. I didn't utilize therapy for many years but once I did, I made a lot more progress with it than just with medications.

I did the therapy for awhile just to figure out the issues I was trying to solve with meds. My nurse practitioner is in the same practice as the therapist so really if she feels I need therapy she'll send me back.

I would suggest therapy first to get a sense of what's going on. Therapy is always beneficial especially when you think you might need medication and are just starting the journey.

@Sydari isn't a therapist who percribe the meds in first place? I would have to go to therapy first I suppose unless I meet me street pharmist lmao 🤷🏽‍♀️ 🙃

@RareEyez86 lol. Psychiatrist prescribed meds, therapist is most therapy and counselling.
