Struggling with Medication and Memory

does anyone else have a really hard time with telling if medication is causing something, or even just remembering how you’ve been feeling so you can tell your psychiatrist/medication provider? it’s so hard to figure out medications because i take so many and i have an awful memory and i’m always unsure about everything and my mood fluctuates sooo much so that makes it harder to remember too because it’s so irregular every day. i hate it. does anyone else with any (or multiple) of the conditions i have (autism, adhd, clinical depression, general anxiety) have really bad issues with memory? like to a concerning degree that makes your life way way harder every day? cause i feel like doctors don’t understand how bad it is and act like it’s just cause i have depression or whatever but i am (and have been for a while) very concerned about it and want it to be better and want to know what’s causing it for sure because it makes my daily life much harder. this turned into a longer post than i meant it to but yeah. pls let me know

And the memory problems are likely a mix of the ADHD and anxiety... My working memory sucks because of ADD, and my long-term memory sucks because of an anxiety response i have from childhood trauma. It sucks.

Definitely not alone!! I'm always second guessing my meds.... I keep making the mistake of getting off of them, thinking they weren't really doing much... It takes a while of feeling fine before it hits me that i actually do need them, then i feel like a total idiot... But even then i wonder if they do enough.

I totally feel you on this. I feel like I of all people should be an expert on my mood but I’m on so many meds and they change so often that I feel like it’s so confusing most of the time. You are def not alone.
