anyone ever tried anything else besides DDAVP/Desmopressin acetate??? I'm afraid I can not live without this medication and now I can't afford the out of pocket expenses even with insurance. I've been on this medication since I was 7 and my body doesn't know how to live without it~ excessive thirst and urine without this medication.

I’m looking for a healthy replacement for all of my medicine

Yeah I take Desmopressin Acetate. It’s really for me to not urinate all day and every time I have something to drink. I had a brain tumor called Craniopharyngioma which causes me to take Desmopressin, Levothyroxine, Hydrocortisone, Xyosted, and growth hormone

@D1ddy what is Xyosted, if you don't mind me asking??

@Peanut1T xyosted is basically a testosterone injections that I have to take once a week. Xyosted is the brand name but it’s basically testosterone injections since I don’t produce enough testosterone ever since my surgery

@D1ddy I also had a craniopharyngioma when I was 7 years old and we are on similar medications.

@Peanut1T my brain tumor was near my pituitary gland so it affected things like my testosterone, growth hormones, puberty, and stuff like that. I had my brain tumor surgery at the age of 11.

@Preschool_Teacher isn't that for muscle spasms?? I am trying to find out if there's an alternative to DDAVP/Desmopressin acetate that someone may have used for Diabetes Insipidus. 👍

@Preschool_Teacher also I've been on this medication since I was 7 years old and my body doesn't know how to live without it. I've tried reducing my prescription to make it last longer, but suffer excessive thirst and urine when I do

@Preschool_Teacher have you ever tried anything else for it?? I can't afford the out of pocket expenses even with insurance and am looking for suggestions and advice. I've taken the oral pill and the nasal spray but the nasal spray gave me staph infections.
