[just some notes for anyone seeing these and wanting to be educated lol] ME has different diagnostic criteria, and some believe it's a different disease all together or possibly just on the "worse" end of the ME-CFS spectrum. CFS has a higher chance of being misdiagnosed since the criteria doesn't require the main symptom that distinguishes this illness from others - Post Exertional Malaise (PEM). The CFS criteria is also more lax, whereas the ME criteria is stricter. There is also ME/CFS criteria (where you're diagnosed with the acronym of both, that's sort of a middleman - not too lax but not very strict either --- lots of debates over them in the community) Also, important to note here for others that "chronic fatigue" is not the same as "chronic fatigue syndrome" (CFS) or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). Chronic fatigue is a chronic *symptom*, one that can occur with numerous illnesses, such as mononucleosis, the flu, depression, etc. CFS or ME, is a debilitating chronic illness with vast symptoms in all body systems (neurological, immune, gastrointestinal, endocrine, etc.)
